With more than 10 years of experience as an active member and  steward for the Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) Philadelphia Chapter, STV Senior Associate and Senior Planner Alexis Williams, AICP, PP, was recently elected Vice President of the 2023–2024 Executive Board, and was honored as the chapter’s 2022 Member of the Year Award.

“I am honored to serve the WTS Philadelphia Chapter in this new role, and I was thrilled to learn that I was named Member of the Year for my participation as a volunteer with the organization,” said Williams, who most recently served as the chapter’s secretary and was honored as Member of the Year at the Annual Awards Gala in early December. “What I learned from volunteering is that it requires commitment — the more you give, the more you gain from the process. I’ve met some wonderful people and built lasting friendships through the WTS Philadelphia Chapter.”

Williams has worked for STV for five years in Philadelphia as part of the Northeast Planning Group. She has over 15 years of experience in the industry, overseeing complex professional planning activities and projects related to transportation, transit, land use, and community development. In addition to her roles with WTS, Williams currently holds board positions with the American Planning Association Pennsylvania Chapter and Southeast Section Council, and is Chair of the Camden County Planning Board.

“I look forward to continuing to work with the board members and committee leaders as we start our new term,” Williams said. “It is an exciting time for our chapter, and I am proud to be part of the Executive Board.”
