Two STV Employees Recognized by Boston Chapter of Women’s Transportation Seminar

Two members of STV’s Boston office were recently recognized for their leadership and mentorship in the transportation field by the Boston chapter of the of the Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS). STV has been an avid supporter of WTS since the early 1980s, with several employees serving on the board.

Boston office manager Mark Pelletier, P.E., vice president, received the Honorable Ray La Hood award, created to honor leaders in the transportation field who also advance WTS’s mission of “turning the glass ceiling into a career portal.” Mark has been an active member of WTS since 1990, serving on numerous committees and supporting his colleagues as they attain WTS leadership positions.

In recognition of her work on the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) Fenway Portal Flood Resiliency Project, Marian Barth, P.E., project manager, was named winner of WTS’s Innovative Transportation Solutions award. As project lead, Marian coordinated with eight different MBTA departments to help mitigate future flooding within the Green Line tunnels while also serving on a WTS committee that plans management roundtables for mid-career professionals.
