STV Engineering Specialist Honored by Alma Mater

Stephanie Amoh, an engineering specialist and electrical designer in Virginia Beach was recently inducted into Hampton University’s Forty Under 40 Alumni Recognition Society.

The society identifies exceptional alumni who excel in their personal and professional endeavors. Selection criteria includes expertise and accomplishments, dedication to charitable and community initiatives, and commitment to the Virginia-based university’s ideals and legacy.

“It is an honor and a privilege,” Amoh said. “I’m glad I get the opportunity to take what I’ve learned at Hampton and use to it develop skills here at STV.”

Amoh received a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Hampton and was a member of the National Society of Black Engineers. After graduation, she joined STV’s New York office, where she worked for nine years before returning to Virginia to work out of the firm’s Virginia Beach location.

Amoh has been involved in several key design projects, including the Newark Liberty International Airport Terminal One Design-Build and the new Davis Barracks at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, NY.

Outside of work, she has volunteered as a choreographer for Impact Repertory Theater Performance Company, a Harlem-based youth group and leadership program that provides dance, vocal and drama lessons for teens and young adults.
