Philadelphia’s Marc Preim Named a Top Young Professional

Dec 16, 2020

Engineering News Record (ENR) MidAtlantic has named Marc Preim, P.E., STV associate and senior project manager in our Philadelphia office, as one of its Top Young Professionals for 2021. This prestigious annual awards program recognizes the ‘best and the brightest’ in the design and construction industry.

Preim joined STV shortly after earning his engineering degree from The College of New Jersey in 2009. Currently, he is serving as the Philadelphia area manager and senior project manager for the civil and structural transportation design group.

“I am incredibly grateful and honored to be selected for this recognition,” Preim said. “I have been blessed with an amazing team around me, mentors who have taught me so much, and the unconditional support of my family.”

Preim is among a class of 20 young professionals representing Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia. ENR MidAtlantic’s selection criteria considered professional leadership and expertise, as well as philanthropic experience and industry stewardship.

Preim’s project experience includes serving in a leading role in the landside bridge design package for the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey’s $1.4 billion Newark Liberty International’s Terminal One Redevelopment Program. He is also a part of the design team for the $880 million reconstruction of the Betsy Ross Interchange for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT). In addition, he is supporting various on-call projects at Philadelphia International Airport and for the Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA), South Jersey Transportation Authority (SJTA), Pennsylvania’s Bucks County, and PennDOT.

Actively involved in his community, Preim volunteers for several industry groups, and charitable organizations as well as his church. He serves on the DRPA and SJTA committees for the New Jersey Chapter of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC); is a board member on the local chapter of the March of Dimes’ Transportation, Building & Construction Committee; and is the treasurer for the Leaders of Faith Foundation.
