Nadine Roper, vice president and director of corporate marketing, has been appointed to the Women Builders Council (WBC) Board of Directors as the organization’s vice president of membership. In this role, she will collaborate with the WBC Executive Board to develop strategic membership campaigns and initiatives.
“I’m thrilled about this incredible opportunity to work with fellow women leaders who have not only blazed trails for others but are equally dedicated to ensuring that women in our industry gain access to the extensive WBC network and resources,” Roper said. “I look forward to seeing how our efforts will positively impact our industry and pave the way for generations of women to come.”
WBC was established in 2004 and provides legislative advocacy, new business support, and professional development opportunities for women in the construction industry in New York State.
“WBC has consistently demonstrated unwavering support for equity, inclusion, and belonging for all women,” Roper said. “I’m passionate about fostering representation and cultivating a genuine sense of belonging in spaces where women, people of color, and LGBTQ individuals often find themselves underrepresented, so WBC is a great fit for me. I eagerly anticipate using this platform to reimagine how we can continue to elevate and create new opportunities for women from diverse backgrounds and to amplify their voices.”
In recognition of her leadership skills, Roper received an Outstanding Women Award at WBC’s 16th Annual Champion Awards in October 2021.
She is also a member of WTS and actively supports its mission to strengthen women’s careers in the transportation industry.
