STV’s Colorado Transportation Group Manager Zach Stone, P.E., PTOE, recently began a two-year term as the South Area representative on the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Colorado Board of Directors.
Stone is a long-standing steward and active member of ACEC Colorado, having served on its Transportation Committee for five years, as the Government Affairs Committee 2022-23 Chair, and as the Consulting Engineers Political Action Committee’s 2022-23 Vice-Chair. In this new role, he will help the Board of Directors carry out ACEC Colorado’s 2023-25 Strategic Plan, which focuses on advocacy, firm success, organizational excellence, and public value.
“I am elated to join this group of talented and engaged professionals and continue the good work ACEC does here in Colorado,” Stone said. “I look forward to working with Executive Director Heidi Gordon, ACEC Colorado staff, and our lobbyist group to strengthen relationships and elevate the role of engineers in our communities.”
Stone joined our Colorado Springs team in 2018. In addition to his technical work, he is a passionate advocate for mentoring along with personal and professional development.
“ACEC works tirelessly at the state and national levels to protect and bolster the engineering industry,” Stone said. “Those efforts directly impact our society through the infrastructure member firms create. I am honored to continue to serve ACEC Colorado as a Board member.”
