STV’s role in the design and construction of improvements for the Little Sugar Creek Tributary to Fairview Road Sanitary Sewer has garnered an Honor Award from the North Carolina Chapter of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) as part of its Engineering Excellence Awards program.
As part of this program, the firm was tasked by Charlotte Water to provide environmental and sewer design services, as well as geotechnical investigations to reroute and replace more than 7,200 linear feet of sewer lines in Charlotte.
The sewer lines span three very different landscapes with competing needs: a popular county-run public park, a residential neighborhood, and a commercial complex. STV designed upgrades to the existing sewer infrastructure including durable and high capacity sewers while minimizing impacts to the surrounding SouthPark residential area in Charlotte that is experiencing growth and development.
